This Trident Stowaway–specific conversion system turns your Trident Trike Stowaway into an electric-assisted tadpole trike using a 500W internally geared rear hub motor and an optional 48V 15Ah lithium-ion battery pack.

The 500–1000W geared motor uses a 5:1 internal planetary reduction and clutch, providing zero-drag pedaling when the motor is not engaged. Compared to a direct-drive motor, it offers improved efficiency, stronger low-speed torque, better hill-climbing performance, and a smaller, more discreet form factor.

Who’s it for? Riders who want the best balance of performance, efficiency, low weight, and stealth on a Trident Stowaway frame. Recommended for total system loads up to 300 lb (trike + rider + cargo).

This kit is designed specifically for the Trident Trike Stowaway tadpole trike.

Bottom Bracket & PAS Compatibility:

• Default configuration: left-side PAS for square-taper bottom brackets
• Newer Stowaway models with external-bearing bottom brackets require special PAS parts (PAS 12-magnet split 64/74 BCD disc + right-side PAS sensor)
• Right-side PAS sensors may require trimming the mounting legs to improve clearance

General Compatibility Notes:

• Rear dropout spacing: 135 mm
• System is not suitable for frames using IGH (internal geared hubs) or rear thru-axles

This Trident Stowaway kit installs with common bike tools and includes everything needed for most standard frames.

• Rear motor wheel installs into 135 mm rear dropouts

• PAS sensor and split disc mount at the crank — type and side depend on crank style (square-taper vs. external-bearing)
• Locking parking-brake levers replace stock brake levers
