This extra-large freewheel removal tool is designed specifically for e-bikes, providing enough clearance to slide over thicker motor axles. A must-have for servicing, replacing, or upgrading any threaded freewheel on an EBikeKit or similar hub motor.

Freewheel Removal Tool for E-Bikes

This tool features an oversized 14mm center opening to fit over the larger axles commonly used on e-bike hub motors. It works with all EBikeKit motor axles and many other brands using standard threaded freewheels.

Usage:

• Slide the tool over the axle
• Engage the splines onto the freewheel body
• Use a large crescent wrench to turn counter-clockwise
• For difficult removals, clamp the tool in a bench vise and use the wheel for leverage
• Always apply grease to the new freewheel threads

Not compatible with Rad Bikes:
Rad Power Bikes motors use a connector larger than 14mm, which prevents the tool from sliding over the axle. Some users have modified the tool by cutting a long cable channel with a Dremel to work around this.
